Entitled "Iconic Landscape IX" this 1967 stone lithograph on rag paper in red and black is by is by New York/ San Francisco artist Gary L. Shaffer (1936-2001). Shaffer trained with Hans Hofmann in the late 1950s and became an influential member of the Printmakers' Workshop in Manhattan. Shaffer moved to San Francisco in the late 1970s. His works are in the permanent collection of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Detroit Institute of Arts, among many others.
Signed, dated and titled at the bottom. Unframed.
