The artist signature is … Read more A sculpture signed by artist Veruolini Verzolini black gold platinum on a clear green glass pedestal. The artist signature is on the front. The adhesive label is on the bottom adhered to it. Looks like a combination of both gold and platinum on the black luster. Top piece can be screwed off. On the neck potion has H10/116. A Verzolini Majolica piece decorated by hand with gold at 3* fire and authenticated by the authors signature. 3* firing is for luster, gold and platinum. This piece is also referred to as Questa Maiolica and Faience. Hand made by Romulus or son, Renzo Verzolini in the 1960s 70s maybe even the 80s. A rare piece and hard to come by. Made by a company called Studio Errevi located in Italy.
Wow what a unique style and it is a unmistakeable identification of a Verzolini object. All the many processing steps are performed manually and this long process qualifies the items as luxury products in the field of ceramics.
Excellent Condition. No chips, cracks or nicks. Very light scratches to the glass base which is consistent with age and use. Only flaw on this piece is the super tiny one on the top portion. Most likely it was done when made. Thanks for looking!
