Combining soft sunlight, shadows, and reflections, French artist G. Genin provides an impressionistic view of the Pont Royal in Paris, 1921. Located between the Quai Anatole France and the Quai des Tuileries in the very heart of Paris, the Pont Royal is normally a bustling interchange between the Left and Right Banks. However, Genin here provides us with a peaceful, nature-filled depiction of the historic bridge, as if in the early morning hours before the city has come to life. Signed lower right.
Original artwork on paper displayed on a white mat with a gold border. Mat fits a standard-size frame. Archival plastic sleeve and Certificate of Authenticity included. Artwork, 5.25”H x 7.5"W; mat, 16”H x 20”W.
