Originally a museum quality … Read more A very fine antique chinese porcelain ( over 175 years old guaranteed) rose medallion lamp . Originally a museum quality large chinese vase measuring 18" tall with a sizeable big body converted into a lamp during the mid century modern Hollywood Regency Era. The porcelain is of the highest quality typical of the late 18th early 19th century rose medallion and canton mandarin workmanship with all handpainted and raised applied 24k gold paintings in extremely fine detail. Note the high quality exotic chinese wood base and even the beveled fruitwood top insert which holds the bulb socket is finely crafted indicating that this lamp was always cared for and thought of as an heirloom.
