We were told this is a vintage Store Fixture or retail display dating back to the 1930s or 1940s. Definitely pre- midcentury modern MCM era. It stands a whopping 23” tall and sits on a base measuring 10” x 14”. It is sturdily made (and very heavy!) from glossy black painted lacquered wood highlighted with gold. Overall condition of the gazelle is very good with no visible damage and some light scuffing. The base, however, does have an area of damage (shown) which perhaps can be repaired/painted but it is not distracting. Please see all photos. See less
