Impressed by the aesthetic and chromatic qualities of this thermoplastic resin, similar to glass yet significantly lighter, Foggini began experimenting with its use in the late 1990s. Mr. Foggini developed a machine to melt methacrylate and later polycarbonate at 200°C, transforming it into a filament that he then moulds with his hands to create luminous shapes and monumental artworks. These include labyrinths of coloured light, blurring the boundaries between art and design.
