A slim, tall vase made of artistically glazed ceramic. The vase was made by the Cooperative of Ceramic Products "Kamionka" in Łysa Góra.
The vase is characterized by a beautiful glaze in the color of violet brown, beige, ocher and white melting and mixing with each other. The colored glaze creates streaks and stains with an artistic expression associated with expressive painting.
Today, ceramics from the factory in Łysa Góra are extremely desirable products of Polish design and items of collector's value, less and less available on the antiquarian market.
Łysa Góra is a village in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The fame of this town is associated with the activities of the Cooperative of Ceramic Products "Kamionka", founded in the 1940s by a local activist, Franciszek Mleczka. The management of the plant was taken by the well-known Polish ceramic artist Bolesław Książek. A ceramic technical school was established next to the plant. Pottery from Łysa Góra has gained great popularity not only in Poland, but also abroad. In the 1950s, artists from Warsaw began to come to the factory. Łysa Góra became the center of Polish handicrafts. The workshops experimented with creating new glazes and searching for new technologies.
