Listed artist Edvin Ollers attended various art schools and taught drawing, at one point opening up his own private painting school. He was continually inspired by art and design, reportedly spending significant time studying museum collections for deeper understanding.
Ollers was a broadly talented and prolific artist; in addition to paintings he was also a sought after designer, producing items in glass, metal and ceramics for various manufactures in Sweden.
His paintings have a clear personal artistic style, utilizing light and harmonious color palettes His loose instinctive brush strokes nevertheless give distinct form to his subjects.
His work is represented in many museum collections including Nationalmuseum, Stockholm and The Modern Museum of Art (Modernamuseet), Stockholm.
