Printer Press Flat-File Drawer Chest With Letters by Hamilton Mfg Co.
This is probably one of our all-time favorites, AND it includes its original typesetter letter blocks!! For the collector who appreciates the smalls, these letter blocks are definitely a unique find! Almost all drawers are filled with neatly filed letter blocks that have patina and ink throughout. Letter blocks are mixed metal and wood, not all pieces have a metal face. Twenty-four drawers total, some drawers have dividers (that are adjustable and removable) and each drawer has different font-types with miscellaneous letters. The piece has been lightly restored and throughly reinforced. See all condition notes for updates and details. Also see makers mark on top facade. Mostly antique oak and mostly solids. Casters have been added for easy moving and storage (can be removed easily if desired). Overall height: 49". Casters: 4"h.

- Excellent Vintage Restored Condition. This piece has been throughly restored and reinforced to bring back to its original condition. All … moreExcellent Vintage Restored Condition. This piece has been throughly restored and reinforced to bring back to its original condition. All sides, drawers and tabletop have been sanded and finished in a light lacquer. The true nature of the wood and grain really show throughout in the wood variation. Each drawer pull has been lightly refinished and painted to match the original style. Otherwise, the piece shows its character with signs of wear consistent with age and use. Our favorite divots along one side show great shop-history and use of this piece. A truly rare find. Other minor wear and blemishes still visible to maintain the history of the piece. Few panel repairs and gussets added at bottom interior; makes for a solid piece. See photos and close ups for reference. Casters have been added for ease of moving and storage. They can easily be removed if height change is necessary or desired. All of our pieces are used and/or vintage pieces that have wear consistent with age. Each are rare, sometimes one-of-a kind that are found and hand-picked.
