A dark brown finish is enlivened by naturally expressive verdigris tones, giving the sculpture the layered appearance of an established Grand Tour object.

Raised on an integral socle and substantial round plinth, the bust has enough architectural presence to stand alone while remaining compact enough for a library shelf, console, writing desk, or stack of antique books. Its richly aged surface pairs especially well with mahogany, leather, blue and white porcelain, and framed landscapes.
