The vase is … Read more This remarkable product of artistic handcraft is made of dark blue glass with parts of semi-transparent greys. The vase is decorated with a big figure of “lion rampant”, made of milk glass called “laticino”. The inside of the vase is covered with milk glass as well. The artist obtained additional effects of interplay of light and shade, by applying a technique of frosted glass, imitating a cracked surface. The bottom is hand-abraded. The shape of this vase was formed directly by the artist, in glasswork technique, when the material was still hot and plastic. This special technique of glass handcraft makes the object naturally big, heavy and solid. See less
