The design is based on Poul Henningsen's three-shade system. The staggered slats reflect the light and direct it downwards. At the same time, they protect the lamp from glare. The upper shade is made of painted metal. The lower shades are made of mouth-blown, three-layer opal glass. They are shiny on the outside and matt on the inside. The translucent glass shades as diffusers create a soft and diffuse lighting effect. The outfit is made of metal and of heavy quality. The inner reflector rings are blue.
