Gregory A. Pole

Gregory Pole began his professional career In 4972. He has illustrated over 21 books relating to Mildlife and natural history. His peintings and sculptures have sold throughout the United States and Canada, and as far away as Norway and England. He has works of art in the World Widtife Art Museum In Las Vegas, Nevada, the Jack o'Connor Museum at the University of idaho, the Kan-Ru Corporate art collection in Siou City, lowa, and vartous galleries from south Florida to the Northwest
This artist (has been invited to show in imany of the. western art shows
throughout the west and has had a number of one man Shows from Lhe East Coast of
Florida to the west coast of the United States. He received national recognition when
he was chosen as the sole artst to represent the States of Alaska and Idaho, in a
national art show displayed in the Senate Rotunda building in Washington, D.C. He received further recognition when one of his paintines was selected from among 2,00 works of art to be included in the Spirit of the West art show sponsored by West One Bank. This perticular paintine was subsequently purchased by the President of West One for display in his office, In 1995, the artist completed a major commission for the Weitz Dental Quilding. His work portrayed different species of North American bear through relief, sculpture and pairted murals. This project was designed to enhance the remodeling of the building and resulted in one of the most unique dental offices in the country-
For the last 12 years.

Pole has been documenting the life of the working combey in the Northwest. He spends a significant part of each year Photographing and riding with cowboys on working ranches. His paintings truly capture the unique beauty of the wilderness, the wildlife and the people whe make their home in this part of the 101d West.* H$ wester paintings are accurate, detailed representations of a vanishing people and their way of life.
