This ewer is the most fanciful, unique fantastically worked piece in my collection. It was bought from an antique source in Islamabad, Pakistan in 1974. It is beautifully embellished with what
seem to be court scenes from the Mughal period. People staring from balconies, dancing women, a raja appearing man, and so much more.
It is heavy and really beautiful. The water pours through the top and flows down the handles.
The shape was meant to keep the water cooler. This water ewer has an air of mystery. It is old.
Perhaps it was created for a Hindu family. Its depiction of court life is remarkable. Even the tiny work on the spout is a work of art.

It was worked by a major artisan. It 's crafting is flawless. The spout is joined with a minimum or solder residue. More pictures can be taken if you are interested.
