It is made of very thick copper.. You can see that in the rim. The design is very delicate. it must have taken extra hours or days of work.

I think it was made by a master coppersmith for a very fine house that didn't care how much extra it cost. Perhaps it was part of a dowry, a splendid gesture of excess.

Now it is ready for another beginning, hopefully in a household that will appreciate its fine
heritage. See less
