Crafted from walnut, the decorative accessory combines rustic craftsmanship with the naturalistic carving associated with the Black Forest style.

The elongated shoe features a deeply hollowed interior designed to accommodate a wine bottle, with a gracefully curved handle extending from the raised heel. The exterior is richly embellished with carved grape clusters, broad vine leaves, and scrolling tendrils, all rendered in high relief with remarkable attention to detail. The grapevine decoration celebrates France's longstanding winemaking traditions and adds a distinctive vineyard-inspired character.

The contrasting two-tone finish enhances the sculptural decoration, with warm honey-colored walnut leaves and grapes standing out against a dark brown background. The carved wooden sole and raised heel further emphasize the traditional sabot form.

Both functional and decorative, this charming antique bottle holder would make a wonderful addition to a wine cellar, home bar, or dining room. It is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, retaining a rich aged patina and beautifully preserved carved details.
