This console table originally an altar table features black lacquer and a variety of carved details. This large console table showcases an elegant shape with rounded edges on the sides of its top. Carved foliage panels strengthen the joint that links the legs and the top together. Each side features an openwork panel with scroll motif. The whole table is covered with a black lacquer. This kind of table was used in China to display vessels during ancestor cult ceremonies.
