The edge and the foot feature a dark painting detail. This wash basin displays a three-section adornment with branches and birds in the upper one. The middle section allows one to see the crackle patina. The centre of this basin is adorned with a large peony flower and lower section features simple shapes. All these patterns are painted in blue on the white porcelain, following the Chinese tradition.
