This 19th century Chinese cabinet was made of natural wood with beautifully carved chinoiserie panels. This tall cabinet is split into three sections of doors, with two small doors below two sets of larger doors. The entire ensemble sits above a carved apron and rests on four legs, the front two featuring simple rectangular carvings. The refined rectangular shape of the doors is enhanced by oval chinoiserie insets on each door panel, showcasing hand-painted Chinese characters on black lacquer. Around these panels are intricate carved foliages. The doors open on two hidden drawers and shelves.
