Published in 1980 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the founding of Louis Vuitton, this 2-volume slipcased gift book set celebrates the famous fashion design house. Fully illustrated, the books include photographs by Jacques-Henri Lartique as well as vintage advertising, publicity photos, and art work.
This is a limited edition publication given as gifts from Louis Vuitton to special clients and associates. Copies were never commercially available.
The vintage books and slipcase are in good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are a few stains and marks on the slipcase cover.
