A rare stunning photogravure (print) of Head of Marble Statue of a Young Athlete Resting, Late 4th century sculpture copied in 1st century B.C. Tralles (Aydin), 4th and 1st century B.C. Height of whole sculpture is 53". Archaeological Museum, Istanbul.
The photogravure comes from an extremely rare First and Only Edition art folio published in Switzerland in the 1940s. Printed on one side. Hand tipped-in on a sheet of heavy paper. Numbered at the lower right corner: 2. Excellent condition - never framed.
