This large Chinese armoire was made with red lacquered wood and iron hardware. The tall rectangular shape is adorned by molding on its top. The four legs supporting this piece are reinforced by lightly carved stretchers. The two doors open thanks to a metal hardware lockset with carved scrolls and petal handles. Inside, the armoire features two shelves above a staggered shelf below. This chest retains its original red lacquer patina.
