This is part of Chairish’s Costume Jewelry assortment.
This is a sterling silver pendent depicting the sea gods Neried & Triton. It is on a modernist rubber cord with a metal clasp. It is made by Dutch sculptor Nic Jonk in collaboration with Jos Peperkamp. Made in 1981 in the Netherlands. It is dated and has Nic’s signature on the back.
Our family has many pieces of jewelry, sculptures, paintings, and prints by Nic Jonk because he was a dear friend before his passing in 1994. He was at our home in Santa Cruz, CA, for an art show and gave many pieces to my mother.
