Very rare, stylized sosaku kokeshi crafted by Takeda Masashi (1930-2015).
Dimensions: height 31 cm, diameter 5 cm.
The kokeshi is signed at the bottom and is in excellent condition.
Takeda Masashi (1930-2015): Trained as a traditional kokeshi artist in Sakunami/Yamagata in Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture. His master is Takeda Usaburo, who also mentored Masashi's older brother Shinkichi, who, however, remained a traditional Yamagata artist. This piece has an attribution mark,
