Framed and signed Segun Adeku linocut print on rice paper, "In the Rain" 1992, 24/100.
By Nigerian artist, Segun Adeku, known for his deep etchings, is a lively scene of a woman holding an umbrella in the rain, smiling and happy. Over her shoulder, and judging the smiling woman is another figure, frowning in judgement - or envious of the umbrella? Nestled in the folds of their clothing are faces mirroring their facial expressions.
Signed in linocut "Segun Adeku" and "92", and at lower edge of mat "24/100", "IN THE RAIN", and 'LINOCUT PRINT ON RICE PAPER".
Art measures about 5" by 9".
Frame measures 10.5" by 14.5" and about 1" deep.
In very good condition, has scratches on the frame, some slight yellowing on the edges of the art. On the reverse, the tape covering nail heads is separating from the frame.
