A substantial oil on canvas showing an atmospheric view of this jewel of the Italian Riviera sparkling with night-time lights.
Born in Naples in 1946, Mario Sanzone graduated from the Fine Art Academy in his hometown where he continues to live and paint. Sanzone is best known for his atmospheric portrayals of the Amalfi coastline, which often concentrate on subtle light effects of the coastal cities and towns. His paintings are admired for the luminous palette in which he works and his original paint-handling techniques that skillfully combine brush and palette knife.
