Hand-painted brown and green berries on vine surrounding a scalloped rim of this in-glazed, deep-welled, faience plate from Nevers, France.
Heavily-potted with manganese-coated underside. 19thC
Diameter 9.25" (23cm)
CONDITION: A few instances of fine kiln grit on glaze in well. Underside exhibits additional kiln grit which is typical of manufacturing technique of the time.
