Crafted by veb haldensleben in the 1960s, this piece showcases a beautiful dark brown and cinnamon glaze. The vase, identified as shape number 4077, features a unique decoration of bold black "fat lava" flowers along its surface. Founded in 1945, veb haldensleben evolved from the carstens uffrecht factory. The term "veb" stands for "volkseigener betrieb," meaning "people-owned enterprise," a designation for state-owned enterprises in the german democratic republic (gdr). See less
