This is a beautiful example of the Kuba design tradition, specifically a cut-pile prestige cloth from the Shoowa people, from the D.R. of the Congo. The intricate checkerboard pattern, with each square featuring a vibrant variant of the chevron, diamond and appliqued motif. This textile is in very good condition and would make a beautiful addition to any interior.
Measuring: 35" (88.5cm) wide x 22" (55.8cm) high.
