This beautiful colorful hand painted tile shows Kamakura Gongoro Kagemasa, the hero and savior in the play, Shibaraku.

Shibaraku is part of the 'kabuki juhachiban', the 18 kabuki plays of Ichikawa Danjuro. Among enthusiasts of Japanese kabuki theater, 'Shibaraku' stands out as one of the most widely known and beloved plays. Its popularity is attributed to the straightforward storyline and the remarkable costume worn by the hero.

The framed piece is in Very Good preloved condition. The black framed has a few scuffs which adds to the charm.

This tile can enhance an Asian, Contemporary, or Traditional decor. It has purple, green, orange, yellow, blue, red, black and white in it.
