A unique original silver gelatin black and white photography. The Town Hall street in Lyon, France, March 1927.
A view of the town hall street in Lyon, France, dated March 13th, 1927. Note the weird inscription on the newsstand: "On debouche les cabinets et les eviers - On taille les chats sans douleur." (We unclog toilets and sinks - We "prune"* cats without pain).
*That's indeed the exact translation of the word used in French. Of course, it means "neutered."
