You are viewing a beautiful Murano Glass + Brass Hinged Casket Box c1950s.
This elegant box features a bod of thick black Murano glass, with brass hinge/textured brass (or goldtone metal) edging, brass lift handle and intricately hand painted lid (of a pastoral scene with ladies, and cherub-like children catching fish with a net). Painted lid is also signed by the artist. Would be a nice home for treasured mementos, jewelry or even to use as a stash box.
Measures 9"W x 5 1/2"D x 5 1/4"T.
