A beautiful handicraft of Marian Zawadazki.
Marian Zawadzki (1912–1978) was a Polish ceramist who worked for Tilgmans Keramik in Sweden. His work became exemplary for the company's product line. Zawadzki developed his own style and used a technique called sgraffito, in which he cut thin lines in his design works, giving them a unique texture.
Tilgmans Keramik was a pottery workshop located outside Gothenburg, active from approximately 1948 to 1975. The workshop was founded and led by its creator, Paul Harald Tilgmann (1904–1974).
Tilgmans Keramik was a prominent pottery workshop known for its creative designs and genuine craftsmanship during the mid-20th century in Sweden.
Tilgmans Keramik swiftly gained recognition for its creative and innovative ceramics, with each piece carrying a story and a sense of authentic Swedish craftsmanship.
Tilgman's ceramics are mainly known for objects decorated with the so-called sgraffito technique, as well as for animal figures.Beautiful turquoise glazing on the inside. Stamped and numbered at the bottom. This piece has an attribution mark,
