Rare and exceptional handmade pair of bronze jardinière's over marble black marble stands for Maitland Smith, circa last quarter 20th century. Features a bronze Neo Grecian / French Empire / Neoclassical inspired urn or planter over black marble columnar pedestal. Planter is designed with a beaded mouth with flared egg and dart molding. The body showcases acanthus leaves and bellflowers between ornate dolphin or swan shaped figural handles. The urn continues down towards a bulbous center and foliate plinth attached to a square marble top over cylindrical column and flared vase. The perfect addition to any space.
