The koi fish tail, in this case is the handle, in which to use for carrying and/or pouring any sauce's or gravy's, while the open mouth end of koi fish is the pour spout opening. Raised relief details of fish scales, fins/gils eyes and mouth, including slight ribbed details to end of tail, i.e. handle. A delicious accompaniment to any dinner soiree, party with the panache of sophistication and whimsy rolled into one. Maker's markings on underside of oval-shaped base, the has a minute fluted or ribbed detail. States Dansk International, and the manufacturer, and provenance country of manufacture, thus country of provenance, whereupon this and many times was produced for the export market for North America, and elsewhere.
