This study is of high quality with what appear to be French or European soldiers in a wooded landscape with the main figure on horseback. The sketch appears to be from a book or collection, on the back side is studies of military uniforms and helmets. The piece is unsigned but the back has Lautrec? In pencil, not sure if it is Lautrec but the artist was certainly talented.

Condition: Creasing and wear to the paper. Frame has damages and the mat is too small for the opening.
