Circa 1850-1875. Ebonized pier cabinet with brass inlay & gilt bronze ormolou mounts, french, napoleon iii period. Rectangular top with turreted corners above a conforming case with flanking pilasters, frieze with inlaid boulle quatrefoil decoration & embossed ormolou trim throughout, fitted with a single fabric backed brass grille inset cupboard door with mock key. Raised on squat, ormolou trimmed bun feet. Black velvet lined shelved interior.
Great diminutive size, small sideboard, dry bar, entrance vestibule, foyer, between two windows, great storage for books!
