I was lucky enough to acquire an incredible collection of original Cate Mandigo oil paintings from a collector in Pennsylvania. I have seen some of her paintings in the past and always thought they were excellent works of 20th Century Folk Art. For those not familiar with the artist, I have included her biography below. This is one of a couple I am offering by the artist right now. If you collect her work check my store for the others I am offering. This is a wonderful original oil on board view of a pair of polka dot rabbits eating carrots. Painting measures 4 x 6 inches. Signed and dated lower left and titled lower right. Outstanding as painted condition. Original frame is complimentary and ready to hang. Frame measures 5 x 7 inches. Again, if you collect the artist, check my store for the others I am offering.

For those not familiar with the artist her biography from various articles reads: "Mandigo has for decades been a mainstay of the art scene in the Adirondacks. Her American primitive folk-art paintings have been collected by art enthusiasts across the nation as well as overseas. She’s won major national awards for her work, and she’s been invited four times to paint artwork to be displayed in the White House. Her works have been displayed in the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institution." See less
