Striking 1980s Postmodern console table featuring a bold architectural design. The piece features a solid rectangular plinth base finished in a sleek black lacquer, anchored by four black spherical globe supports that elevate a thick, rounded-corner glass top.
The underside is hollow and made of particle board with a black lacquered veneer. The balls appear to be heavy marble at first glance, however they are made of hard plastic which makes the table relatively light weight.
Its dramatic geometric silhouette and high-contrast materials evoke the classic Memphis-milieu and Art Deco Revival aesthetics of the late 20th century.
Perfect as a statement entry hall piece, sofa table, or focal point in a contemporary, Postmodern, or Hollywood Regency space.
