From Bell & Finch Studio Shop, here is an original painting by June Parrish Cookson. In this painting, a solitary house seems nearly engulfed by the rolling California hills. The interaction between sunlight and shadow including rich velvety colors lends a lasting exploration within the viewer's eye. June attributes this painting to the sensibility of how older solitary homes are becoming more obsolete along historic Route 101. It was painted during the summer of 1997. Artist signature located on lower right corner including back with shop label.
