Oil painting of an English fox hunting scene influenced by having lived at Warren House, a Queen Anne cottage in the middle of Hatfield Forest, England, 1980-82, and works by John Herring. Horses, riders and English foxhounds on the chase. Painting is on Okoume board (similar to Mahogany) by Satori Gregorakis. Signed in the lower left corner. Framed.
Satori Gregorakis (Long Island, N.Y., 1943-) Satori is committed to beauty, exploring and developing new ideas. In this pursuit he is influenced by the challenges of painting in the style of old masters, he regards the preparation of surface as intrinsic and is guided by the spontaneity of his imagination in abstract painting.
