Although it has several cracks, the work’s aesthetic integrity is nearly perfect. These are cracks or crazing, not areas that have been re-glued. The back of the head has a significant crack, but it does not extend down the neck. No part is loose, and when holding the worshipper, it feels completely firm and solid. Provenance: Estate of art dealer and collector Claude de Marteau. Sold with a certificate of provenance. H 45 cm, diameter 28 cm. See less
