Especially stylized depictions of animals in metal or wood were typical products of werkstätte hagenauer vienna. Various table centerpieces and bowls with stylized animal motifs were among the most popular export items of the viennese manufactory. This table centerpiece of a stylized horse was designed by franz hagenauer in the late 1920s. The reduced design language paired with hagenauer’s characteristic clear lines make this centerpiece a timeless design object. Marked with “made in/austria”, “hagenauer/wien”, “whw” in the circle bib.: copy of werkstatte hagenauer’s sample book for a tray, mod. No. 1866 this piece has an attribution mark,
