Originating in Mali, West Africa, this unique African textile boasts a fascinating story. Skilled artisans handcraft each piece using time-honored techniques. Locally-sourced cotton fabric is handwoven as the canvas, then adorned with natural dyes derived from fermented mud and leaves. These dyes create stunning geometric patterns, often featuring symbolic tribal shapes and motifs that hold deep cultural significance.
