The interior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome design of butterflies surrounded by sakura flowers on the turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The borders are decorated with insect, and foliage ornaments made in the same technique. The backside is decorated with a foliate scroll ornament made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked.
