This really is Great Looking and Quite Unusual Antique American Victorian Sterling Silver Napkin Ring. Circa Approx 1870s. It is Beautifully Embossed with a Cylindrical Continuous Panoramic Country Scene That Includes 2 Different Cottages - Houses, a Stone Bridge, Assorted Trees, a Windmill Etc. It has a Large Hand Engraved "K" Monogram on One Side and a 3 Letter Monogram E.B.M. on The Other Side. It has no Maker or Other Marks but That is Not Uncommon with American Silver Napkin Rings from this Era. It Been Professionally Tested and is Absolutely Guaranteed to be Solid Sterling Silver with an Approx Weight of 24.59 Grams / 0.791 Troy Ounce. It is in Very Good Condition with only Minimal Age and Use Wear - Display Beautifully. No Damage - No Repairs. It is Lightly Tarnished - Could use a Good Polishing.
It Measures Overall Approx 2 inches Tall x 1 1/4 inches Wide.

The Early American Silver Makers adopted the Coin Silver Standard up until around the Late 1860s to Early 1870s at which point in time they started to adopt the Sterling Silver Standard. American Coin Silver has a 90% - 900/1000 Silver Content, and Sterling Silver has a slightly higher 92.5% - 925/1000 Silver Content. Pure Silver is 99.9% Pure - That is to say that it Contains No Other Alloy Metals. Some of Pieces of American Coin Silver items that were produced were marked "Coin" - but it should be Noted that many of the other pieces that were produced during that period Have No Silver Mark At All. Once the Sterling Standard took hold the vast majority of the Silver Pieces that were produced by Numerous American Silver Companies were marked "Sterling".

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
