1950s Ruth M. Fulton WPA Abstract Impressionist Painting of Sailors on a Boat
Offered for sale is a 1950s Ruth McConnell Fulton (1905-2003) WPA School Impressionist painting depicting sailors at sea. Fulton is known for portraits, landscapes, and abstractions. The painting is well executed and makes use of impasto techniques. It is signed within the boat on the lower right. The painting is displayed in the original vintage frame which has been painted gold.
