A heavy cast iron fire tool holder with a serpentine contoured base, the inside of which is recessed and finished in a hammered texture to keep the tools from slipping once put in the holder. Two arms gather the tools together with a nice polished brass knob finishing off the top. Will accommodate any traditional fire tool set. Cast iron is painted a satin black. Probably American, late 19th century.
