This unusual American mahogany petite sized writing table features two flip-top panels with leather inserts and two compartmentalized drawers, one in front and one on the side. The drawers are dovetailed, the brass hardware is original and the graceful legs are Sheraton style. Two sturdy supports on both side very cleverly slide out to hold up the writing surface-shown in the second to the last image. When the flip-tops are open it measures thirty two inches across.
A handsome and very utilitarian two hundred year old piece of history.
