Antique Flemish collectors cabinet, c.1870
A quality, well made cabinet with an oak frame and veneered in rosewood, ebony and fruitwood. Each panel has a fine geometric design, highlighted by fine bone stringing. The interior is also decorated with the same geometric designed panels. There is a set of drawers but note their configuration. The bottom one is one long and wide.The middle is one deep and narrow, with four short drawers either side. These drawers were made to store different size objects. Note the detail carving to the brass lock case. Comes with working lock and key. A fine example of Flemish craftsmanship in very good condition with minor age wear. Recently waxed and polished.
